That’s why we created GlowGirlz—because looking good should be easy, time-efficient and affordable. The Story Behind the «GLOWGIRLZ»

MEET KATE

I’ve always been in love with beauty, fashion, and art. My passion started early—back when I was a professional dancer, I used to help my teammates with hair and makeup backstage. That’s where it all began. At 14, my family moved to Cyprus, and I got even more into beauty. In high school, I started studying business and dreamed of having my own brand one day🎀💅🏻

My mom would help me with my nails, and I soon learned to do them myself, creating designs that I couldn’t find in any salon. Nail salons were frustrating to me—they were expensive, lacked creativity, and often took way too long. I wanted nails that matched my outfits and personality, but I couldn’t find that anywhere🥲

When I moved to the Netherlands for university, the struggle to find great nails continued. Balancing studies, including an exchange in Germany, meant I had no time to search for the perfect nail artist. That’s when I thought—why not start my own brand? Not only could I design what I loved, but I could help other girlz express themselves without the hassle✨💅🏻

MEET ELSA

I’ve always been drawn to art, fashion, and design. As a kid, I loved flipping through art magazines, and my passion led me to work in interior design for six years—five in China and one in the Netherlands. Art is a huge part of my life; it makes me happy, and I love seeing how it can bring joy to others too🦋✨

For me, fashion is a form of art—a way to express who you are and embrace confidence. The creativity and individuality in fashion have always inspired me, and I see it as an extension of our personalities. It’s how I tell my story and feel most like myself.

While studying, I started working as a nail specialist in a salon, and I quickly realized how much I loved making girls feel happier and more confident. That’s what inspired me to take it further—to bring beauty and self-expression to even more people on a bigger scale🎀👯‍♀️

When I met Kate during our Creative Business studies in the Netherlands, we clicked right away. Our friendship is at the heart of everything we do. We quickly realized that our vision for a brand aligned perfectly, and that’s when we decided to become not just friends, but business partners. With shared interests, values, and dreams, it felt natural to build something together. Kate’s bold creativity and design ideas, combined with my attention to detail and artistic vision, create the perfect balance. Our common goal? To make GlowGirlz a space where girls feel seen, heard, and inspired♥️🥹
